ROMEG - DYNAMIC LASER MEASUREMENTS OF WIND TURBINES

ROMEG M 20 G is a laser device for geometry measurement of rotors of wind turbines.

 

The ROMEG measurement is a laser-based Procedere for the verification of the dynamic and aerolastic behavior of the rotor and the whole turbine.
 
ROMEG can detect aerodynamically excited imbalances and indicate mass excited imbalances.

 

 Measurements are taken with the turbine in regular Operation.

Functions of the romeg system

The following parameters and functions are measured by ROMEG System:

  • Relative Blade angle -  The main function of the ROMEG system is the measuring and determining of the relative blade angle deviations. 
  • Detection of mass imbalances 
  • Tower vibrations -  The oscillation pattern of the axial tower movement is a good indicator for the evaluation of the detected blade angle deviations
  • Vibration analysis of the tower movement
  • Tower clearance

The plausibility of ROMEG system as a measuring system for the determination of aerodynamic imbalances was first approved by  DEWI-OCC on 09.12.2014 and was again approved by UL / DEWI-OCC on 10.10.2019.
